Does it keep playing in the background?

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, noise keeps playing when you switch apps or lock your phone. You can stop it from the lock screen, Control Center, or the notification shade. On the web, playback depends on your browser and operating system; closing the tab stops it, and background tabs may be suspended.

Is there a widget?

On iPhone, iPad, and Android, add the Noise Connoisseur widget to your home screen to start and stop each sound with one tap. The web version has no home screen widget.

How does the volume slider work?

The slider in the app sets the noise level within your device's volume, so you can keep the noise quieter than other sounds. It's remembered between launches.
